I have not been able to post pics to this forum, only links, and I've spoken to others who can't also, sent some PM's but unable to get any help. I always get a message that says the pic is too large. Can anyone take a minute to do a brief tutorial, it would be much appreciated.

Sure Kirk, I'm not sure if this is the only way, but is probably the best way.

1. you need an account with a site like photobucket.com, it is free.
2. once you upload your pictures to photobucket you can make changes to them there, crop, color, resize, etc. If your images are really large, they should be resized to about 600 pixels wide for forum use.
3. once you have the picture resized and altered in any way you want, go back to the album page for photobucket, you will see all the pictures you uploaded.
4. hover your cursor over the image you want and a drop down box will pop up with 4 different codes, you want the bottom one called IMG code.
5. Copy that code right into this text box, it will have "[IMG]http://" at the front and back of the link, it is supposed to. and even though you won't be able to see the picture as you are typing the post, it will automatically show up on the forum.

Note that this image i posted is probably too wide for most forums, it makes it annoying when you have to scroll accross the screen to see a full picture, i posted it larger because i thought it'd be hard to see the IMG code i was talking about.

Thanks gopher, I had the photobucket set up, just needed that last step. I think we might get more pic posts now, I know I've got a few. Kirk

That's a good way to post pictures and does save Tod some server space if you have lots of photos to post.  You can post photos right from your computer also. Just click on the Additional Options link just below the box where you type in your text, then clicked on the Browse button to the right of where it says Attach.  A window will open up and then you just surf your computer to wherever the picture is and select it.  Having the photo 800 pixels wide or less makes it easier as it will keep it on the screen without having to scroll around.  The file size is at 128 KB or less.  I attached the screen print from the forum on my site with those two parts circled.  Here's a link to a pretty good photo editor that is easy to use and is free.
