Hi all.

My name is Ray Burpo and I have been shooting traditional bows on and off (mostly on) for the last 18 years.  I have been using both a compound and a recurve for the previous 5 years or so, but traded my compound for another recurve early this fall and don't think I'll ever look back. I just love the simplicity of trad bows.
I am married and have 4 kids, a goofy lab that thinks she is one of the kids and 2 fat, mostly deranged cats. I live near and work in Walker.
I am obsessed with bowhunting & scouting/shedhunting, especially scouting - I just can't get enough.. Turkey hunting is also up near the top.
My current bows are: 60# Predator, 50# Bear grizzly, 65# Ben Pearson long bow and a 65# osage self bow a friend made for me. I currently have a nice piece of ironwood in the back of my truck that I'm going to attemp to whittle a bow out of...

Take care,

Ray

Hello Ray and welcome.  Last summer was the first that we did not attend any Walker shoots in many years.  Hope to change that this summer.  We are by Detroit Lakes.  Maybe see you at one of the shoots.  Kyle
